Statement on Hearings on Perspectives for the Use of Transitional Justice Tools in Armenia

On May 13, the President of the National Assembly announced on 24 May, parliamentary hearings will be held on “Perspectives for the Use of Transitional Justice Instruments in Armenia”. It has been stated that “inclusive discussions are of prerequisite for arriving at the best solution”.

Considering that hearings are being organized in order to create the illusion of transparency and inclusiveness for pre-made decisions, “Path of Law” NGO will not participate in these parliamentary hearings. We prefer to use our professional potential in other formats, about which the public shall additionally be informed.
