Launch of the “Consequence” initiative

Recently, the new RA authorities marked their one-year anniversary. During that time, the state politics in Armenia, in spite of the slogans of the ruling power, widely includes tools that openly infringe the law, generally not aimed at overcoming the real issues facing the public and improving the quality of governance. This destructive tendency does not, unfortunately, show any signs of softening over time, hence we betake actively responding to it with legal remedies.

Based on the above considerations, the “Path of Law” NGO is launching the #consequence (#հետևանք) initiative aimed at:

1. Documenting and publicizing manifestations of human rights abuses that are still unknown to the public.

2. Providing legal assessments of political violations of fundamental human rights.

3. Reporting to law enforcement officials who substitute law for “political expediency” by committing gross violations of human rights.

4. Systematically presenting to the international bodies the real situation of human rights in Armenia.

We are ready to work with individuals and their lawyers in the form of legal counseling and human rights support within the framework of the “#Հետևանք” initiative.
